OPENING UP (6 x 30′) is a sharp, funny, new romantic comedy for BBC One. It reunites the creative team from the international hit series Starstruck with Avalon, the production company behind Catastrophe, Breeders and Not Going Out.

After a Tinder date goes badly wrong, Penny (Amy Gledhill) meets American Rhys (Drew Tarver). They quickly fall in love, move in together and seem set to live happily ever after...until, a few years on, their sex life begins to falter. Together they decide to embark on an open relationship, despite having no clue how they work. What could possibly go wrong?

Warm and incredibly relatable, Opening Up explores the highs and lows of modern relationships through the comic voices of Amy Gledhill (Run Away), and Nic Sampson (Starstruck). The series is directed by Starstruck co-creator/director Alice Snedden.

The wider cast includes: Drew Tarver (Running Point), Ilana Glazer (Broad City), and Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul).
